LRT-2 Line Accessibility Audit Promotes Inclusive Transportation

The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), in collaboration with the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) and other government agencies, recently conducted an accessibility audit of the LRT-2 Antipolo Station.

Led by the NCDA’s Sub-Committee on Access, Built Environment, and Transportation (SCABET), the comprehensive audit was carried out in partnership with the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), and the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) Antipolo. LRTA’s Mobility Inclusivity Accessibility Committee provided technical support throughout the process.

The team evaluated the station facilities, including entrances, ramps, ticket booth restrooms, elevators, emergency exits, pathfinding tactiles, and boarding access. see full details here.
