The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), through Certification International Philippines, Inc., has reaffirmed its commitment to quality management standards by successfully passing its second surveillance audit for ISO 9001:2015 on August 19-20, 2025.
Having originally received this certification on July 11, 2023, for its Line 2 operations and maintenance, LRTA has now demonstrated its sustained dedication to excellence for over two years.
This achievement is in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos. Jr.’s directive to ensure efficient and sustainable operations of rail systems.
The audit verified that LRTA quality management system aligns with international standards, highlighting its effective practices in customer service, leadership, decision-making, and continuous improvement.
This system enables LRTA to proactively address risks and consistently meet the evolving needs of its passengers.
“We are proud of this re-certification, which affirms LRTA’s unwavering commitment to quality,” said LRTA Administrator Hernando T. Cabrera. “This reflects our mission to enhance mobility and deliver safe, inclusive, and service-oriented mass transport system.”
LRTA remains dedicated to maintaining exemplary standards in public transportation, and this certification underscores its pledge to provide safe, reliable, and high-quality services to Filipino commuters.
