The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) proudly announces that LRT line 2 revenue line and LRT-2 depot has successfully passed the third and fourth quarterly ambient air quality and noise level measurements for 2024, fully meeting the standards set by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) under Republic Act 8749 (Philippine Clean Air Act of 1999) and Presidential Decree No. 984 (National Pollution Decree of 1976), along with their respective implementing rules and regulations.
“We are pleased with these results as they serve as testament to LRTA’s continuous efforts to ensure our services remain compliant with existing environmental laws,” said LRTA Administrator Hernando Cabrera. “We are confident that we will also pass the remaining tests scheduled for next year.”
These positive findings further highlight LRTA’s commitment to delivering safe, comfortable, and environmentally sustainable transportation for the riding public.
